I'm a Model Demon Cultivator, So Taking Your Fortunes Is Only Natural

(No romance, just pure ridiculousness)

As a registered Mengji spirit, Ji Mi has always thought of herself as a kind soul.

She is the senior sister of Qingyun Sect’s Sword Peak, a model demon cultivator: she doesn’t eat people or cause trouble, and she cultivates in peace. Yet people keep deciding that, since she isn’t one of them, she must have ulterior motives, and trying to make her the designated scapegoat.

What! They want her to take the tribulation for them and be the scapegoat?

Ji Mi: “You form your core first and help me form mine afterward. Then I’ll become a Venerable, won’t I?”

What! The prodigies at the Cloud Ladder Hall say she’s a country bumpkin who’ll never be refined, born to serve as a stepping stone?

Ji Mi: “The heroes of this world really are as common as carp crossing a river. Oh, I mean everyone here is a minnow.”

What! They say I’ve got stats but no mechanics?

Ji Mi: “I can knock you out with one punch. That’s my Hypnosis Principle.”

What... What do you mean the third junior brother has turned into the third junior sister, and the battle-crazed senior sister from the neighboring Sword Lodge has publicly said, ‘I’m interested in Ji Mi’?

Ji Mi: “This is hard to understand. I feel like there’s something going on between us. Any idea what?”

And this is what life at Qingyun Sect’s Sword Peak is like:

Master (a cold and aloof immortal cultivator on the outside, but terrified of cats, dogs, rabbits, and anything fluffy): “I feel like I’ve been living in someone’s shadow this whole time.”

Second Junior Brother (absurdly lucky, yet convinced he’s a master strategist): “This feels so sacred.”

Third Junior Sister (a scheming green tea, who has a daily meltdown over Ji Mi): “I think you’re nuts. Senior Sister, look at him! Say something!”

Ji Mi, expressionless: “Chicks don’t put pressure on me. Master does. So, Master, have you broken through today?”

Master, weeping rivers of tears: “I’m breaking through, I’m breaking through!”
