On a sweltering summer day, Tang Youyou, a Taoist priestess from Qingxuan Temple, Lin Yu, a police officer born with yin-yang eyes, and forensic doctor Su Ran reunite over a case involving a red-clothed doll in an old house. The doll conceals the evil art of “nurturing a grudge doll,” and its resentment points to an unsolved case from twenty years ago. The three join forces to investigate, following clues from an abandoned factory to long-buried memories, and uncover a conspiracy spanning two decades amid the supernatural and the pursuit of a criminal case.
