Let Go of That Dragon! I Came Back to Life and Now I’m Chasing It for a Leash

[Madcap Master of the Dragon Realm who wins himself over × cold on the outside, warm on the inside Kunlun merfolk, caught off guard]

[Two strong leads | 1v1 | Both leads are each other’s only love | A touch of ensemble cast | HE]

She is the Goddess of Kunlun, but her soul leaves her body and arrives in Yuzhang.

He is the Lord of the Dragon Realm, awakened by her arrival.

They first meet at Yuzhang’s ancestral shrine. She is a ghost, lost and dazed; he is an illegitimate son who bears humiliation and bides his time.

Her soul returns to Kunlun, and he crosses mountains and seas in pursuit of her.

From Aoshan in the South Sea to a hidden realm in the sea, from JiusI Mountain to the Dragon Palace in the deep sea,

the layers of treacherous mist are dispelled, revealing that he is the son of her parents’ murderer.

He offers the Dragon Realm’s inheritance as his betrothal gift, hoping she can lay down her blood feud.

He accidentally enters her dream.

Her long hair is soaked in a pool of thick blood.

He doesn’t dare touch her. Every glance feels like a knife piercing his bones.

He opens the Dragon Realm. “The treasures and I are yours. Let me stay by your side, all right?”

She says yes.

But then she turns and blows herself up before his eyes, becoming the stars scattered across the sky.

Ye San, eyes bloodshot, storms the Underworld, slays gods and destroys Buddhas. “Give me back my wife!”

“You see all living beings, yet you never see me. What am I to you, really?”

“Clack!” The storyteller brings down the wooden block. “To find out what happens next, come back for the next installment.”

“Hey, storyteller, are you continuing the tale today?”

“No, no! The goddess hasn’t even caught up with the hem of his robe yet.”

“I say she should just grab a chain and lock that demon dragon up. Then let’s see if he dares disobey!”

Atop the Demon Realm, clouds churn overhead, and black iron chains glint coldly.

One end is wrapped around the goddess’s slender wrist; the other is firmly fastened to the demon dragon’s massive claw.

One end is willing dependence, the other a hard-won shield.

Love was never meant to be a cage.
