On the night of August 20, 3033, Blue Star was shrouded by an eerie red moon.
At first, everyone thought it was a once-in-a-thousand-years spectacle. But the red moon's arrival on Blue Star also brought all kinds of bizarre monsters known as Dream Hunters.
The spectacle became a disaster. Everyone was inexplicably swept into a game called Nightmare Escape and forced to become players.
Su Meng, one of Blue Star's inhabitants, struggled to survive the disaster alongside her younger sister.
Fortunately, she seemed to have awakened a skill unlike anyone else's.
Using her ability to rewind after death, Su Meng managed to keep herself and her sister alive, again and again, in the Dream Hunters' grasp.
She gradually adapted to Nightmare Escape and drew ever closer to the source of the disaster.
