Ten years after the "Dimensional Storm," the Xuzu fled to Earth carrying the remnants of their higher-dimensional power, turning 70% of the planet into "Folded Zones," where the laws of physics have become unstable and time loops or objects become two-dimensional. The human survivors have split into three factions: Old K's "Iron Dome Base," which survives through modified technology; the "Anchor Guardians," who protect the higher-dimensional anchor at Earth's core; and the "Power Hunters," who plunder the remnants for profit.
Su Ye sets out with a fragmentary experimental log to find the anchor and uncover the truth behind his father's death. His father was the first to explore a Folded Zone, only to be reduced to two dimensions. Ye Tang, who has higher-dimensional particles implanted by the Xuzu in her body and can sense the remnants of their power, is hunted by the Xuzu and accidentally stumbles into Iron Dome Base. Old K, who once took part in the military's "Dome Project" and has a deep-seated grudge against the Xuzu, takes them in, but conceals the fact that the base is hiding a weapon powered by the remnants.
As the team transmigrates through the Folded Zones, they encounter "two-dimensional ghosts," Xuzu pioneers who were never fully reduced in dimension, as well as attacks from the Power Hunters. Gradually, they uncover the truth: the anchor is a "dimensional regulator" left by a prehistoric higher-dimensional civilization. The Xuzu want to use it to return to the fourth dimension, while Su Ye's father's apparent reduction to two dimensions was a cover for secretly protecting the regulator's core. Meanwhile, fragments of Ye Tang's memories come to light: she is a descendant of the prehistoric civilization's "Anchor Guardians," and she and Su Ye grow close. Old K, too, faces a choice: use the weapon to destroy the Xuzu, or risk activating the regulator to restore dimensional balance.
