Also known as: Douyin: 9527, The Wild King, the Internet’s No. 1 Disruptor. Transmigrator Lu Yan has no money and sleeps under a bridge, but an impromptu street performance where he takes on a top-tier star unexpectedly makes him an online sensation! After going viral, he is taken in by Chen Laoliu, a bankrupt boss, and brought into the “9527” studio, where he recruits a crew of “problem children” who have been blacklisted across the internet.
From then on, Douyin gets its most formidable disruptor ever!
√ Exposing top-tier stars’ scripted personas and face-slapping them live, with one satisfying payoff after another!
√ Uncovering counterfeit-goods supply chains, walking a knife’s edge and taking on the monopolistic giant “734 Luxury Group” head-on!
√ Pioneering “immersive rural assistance,” winning both public praise and explosive traffic, and earning official recognition!
At the annual MCN competition, 734 resorts to one dirty trick after another, but Lu Yan leads 9527 to a comeback against all odds and claims the top spot!
When a corporate conglomerate extends an offer to buy him out, he flatly refuses, joining forces with small and midsize MCNs to form an alliance and reshape the rules of the industry!
From the internet’s public enemy to an industry benchmark, from sleeping rough under a bridge to finding success in both love and work.
Lu Yan: “I just wanted to shake things up. How did I end up becoming the Wild King?”
