The Netherworld Highway

Exhausted after work, Lin Fan gets into his car and takes the familiar road home. Perhaps the weather is acting strangely: fog has rolled in, or static crackles over the radio. Then terror descends. His navigation fails, and he turns onto an unfamiliar road he has never seen before, shrouded in mist. The surroundings are uncanny: streetlights flicker strangely, the few cars around him look ancient, and the scenery outside his window twists out of shape. Unexplainable road signs and shadowy figures appear, and the horror closes in. He encounters a “roadside ghost,” hears “an eerie wail,” and his car starts acting up. At last, he realizes he is no longer in the normal world. His car is eventually forced to stop, leaving him at a station or crossroads utterly unlike anything he has seen, with an underworld-like atmosphere. Inhuman “things” nearby take notice of him. Will he get help from Old Zhou, a local ghost?! Is Old Zhou a good guy?! What secrets lie in Lin Fan's family legacy?! What is the mystery of Lin Fan's origins?!
