The night before Qi Tongwei kneels before Liang Lu with a rose in his hand.
No one knows that a hundred miles away, in a mountain village, his grandfather Qi Zhan crushes a medicine bowl in his gaunt hand. The grandson of a powerful man, a decorated hero who took three bullets on the battlefield, has been driven to the point of losing every shred of dignity!
“Tongwei, stand tall!”
Qi Zhan shakes out his dust-covered uniform bearing the stars of a general, hoists the bloodstained plaque honoring his “First-Class Merit,” and makes another journey to Handong!
When Zhao Lichun breaks into a cold sweat at the sight of the plaque, and Liang Qunfeng is led away in handcuffs before the cameras,
the sky over Handong cracks!
The “Legacy System” has been activated!
