The Lost Scroll of Journey to the West: Defying Heaven's Will

In 2035, technology has advanced immensely, but morality has collapsed. Psychologist Tang Ming falls into a coma during an experimental accident. When he wakes, he discovers that he has become Tang Sanzang, a thousand years after the Journey to the West ended. The old pilgrimage team has long since fallen apart: Wukong is trapped beneath the high-rises of a modern corporation, Bajie is an overweight shut-in obsessed with virtual reality, Sha Seng has become an influencer who blindly chases traffic, and the White Dragon Horse has been reduced to a shared human mount. The whole world has sunk into an abyss of spiritual desolation and collapsed faith. Tang Ming realizes that only by retracing the Journey to the West in reverse, returning from its endpoint at Spirit Mountain to its starting point at Flower-Fruit Mountain, can he uncover the truth of the pilgrimage and save his disciples from their living hell. Along the way, he gradually discovers the shocking conspiracy behind the journey: the scriptures they obtained were not genuine at all, but a carefully designed control program intended to eliminate humanity's will to resist. The Lost Scrolls of the Journey to the West: Defying Fate reconstructs the classic tale in reverse. Each trial revisited reveals the ills and dilemmas of modern society. This is an epic about awakening, resistance, and rediscovering one's original purpose. It explores how individuals can reclaim freedom and dignity in a world controlled by systems.
