Thousands of years ago, the Wu Clan was born beneath the Divine Tree on Kun Mountain. Its children were born with the ability to divine and read the flow of energy, and were therefore eagerly sought after by people everywhere.
A hundred years ago, the Wu Clan's shamaness emerged from seclusion at an emperor's desperate request. She helped him wage war and conquer the land, winning every battle and overcoming even the most unfavorable odds. The Wu Clan's name thus became renowned among mortals. Later, she married a mortal general, only to die a tragic death. From then on, the Wu Clan changed its rules: its daughters could not marry out, and only worthy sons-in-law could marry into the clan. Even so, many continued to seek their hand, but the clan never again descended from the mountain after what had happened to the previous shamaness.
Another hundred years passed. The Divine Tree was burned by heavenly fire, and the Wu Clan was destroyed. From then on, people could only speak of the Wu Clan with a sigh of sorrow.
But what people did not know was that one shamaness still lived atop Kun Mountain, under the protection of the Kun Mountain Goddess. To protect her, the goddess spread a song among the people.
On Kunlun's sacred mountain grows a divine tree. Beneath its shade, the Wu Clan came to be. The shamaness communes with spirits and knows divine arts. Heavenly thunder and earthly fire destroy the Wu Clan.
But no one knew that the song had two more lines:
The Divine Tree burns, unleashing calamity. The Goddess summons snow to save the spirit shaman.
