I Met You Just as the Rain Began

“Let's break up. Go live the life you're meant to live. I'm a bottomless pit. You could never fill me.”

After saying this, Zhang Haiming flies to Boston with his daughter, who has leukemia, and his ex-wife, leaving Wen Wenyu alone to face the ruins of their relationship.

Whenever she's hurting, she eats one of the soft candies he had someone bring back for her and tells herself: Once I've finished these candies, I'll forget him.

With the support of her friends, she rebuilds her life and becomes the brightest rising star in the business world. She also catches the eye of Jiang Ziyu, a man at the very top of the entertainment industry.

He gives her everything, including the huge sums of money she doesn't know he's sending to Boston.

Years later, when Zhang Haiming attends the opening ceremony of Wen Wenyu's children's charity foundation with his recovered daughter, she finally learns that it was Jiang Ziyu who helped protect the man she'd always kept in her heart.

And now, in Jiang Ziyu's arms, Wen Wenyu has finally learned how to be loved.

“Ziyu, let's have a child too.”
