A reborn villainous male lead, consumed by vengeance, versus a transmigrated stand-in villainess with System missions; the truth behind a past-life conspiracy versus the emotional turmoil of this life.
The story follows villainous male lead Zhao Chiye, reborn with a plan for revenge. He seeks vengeance against Song Zhixi, the person he believes is his enemy, while uncovering the truth. Meanwhile, a modern-day comedienne transmigrates into the role of Song Zhixi, the villain’s intended female target for revenge. Armed with System missions, she tries to “win over” and “set the male lead straight” to stop him from turning evil. Along the way, her modern outlook and comedic antics repeatedly disrupt his plans, while inadvertently helping him get closer to the truth.
