Zhang Gou'er (later given the Mongolian name "Boyan Timur"), a farmer from the Central Plains, went from being a plundered "signing army" (forced conscription by the Han) against the background of the expansion of the Yuan Dynasty to turmoil, and experienced the conquests of the Southern Song Dynasty, the fighting of grassland tribes, and uprisings in various places. The oppression of the "four-class system" and the struggle of "survival or dignity", from numbness to survival to finding oneself, and finally chose to protect the people at the bottom in the torrent of the times, completing the growth and awakening of an ordinary person in the intertwined era of Mongolian and Chinese.
