The Holy Sword and the Scabbard

[Western Fantasy] + [One Female Lead] + [She Pursues Him] + [Multiple Couples]

A continent devoured by shadows harbors a demon waiting to break free of its chains.

Fate places two pawns on the board: Wright Enz, who holds the secret to forging the Holy Sword and is haunted by blood-soaked nightmares of his dead family, with fear dogging his every step; and Nero An'er, a mere apprentice knight whose stubborn courage borders on foolishness.

The two meet amid a chaotic age, and the gears of fate quietly begin to turn. The girl pursues the man she loves, and through one trial after another, sheds her naivety and grows into a warrior capable of facing the abyssal monsters.

Wright's heart, frozen shut, is opened by her undying courage. At last, he dares to face the tragedy of his past, falls in love with Nero, and joins hands with their companions to overcome every obstacle, reforge the Holy Sword, and seal away the source of the demon.

Love is never the only answer.

Shuya burns away her own life, becoming the ashes along the road. Yufu's romance remains separated by an impassable gulf, leaving him yearning for what he cannot have.

Jilei and Betty stay by their sides for a long time, supporting one another through every storm until they can finally be together.

The threads of darkness have been in Qilu's hands from beginning to end. The mastermind behind it all is determined to bring down the entire world, and he is the one who set the wars and disasters in motion. The catastrophe he unleashed is what drove Wright, Nero, and all their comrades to rise together and fight with their lives. When his schemes are shattered, he meets his end in bitter resentment, still clinging to his unfulfilled desire for destruction.
