The protagonist is the son of a farmer who serves as a soldier. During a mission, he is accidentally shot dead in a gang shootout, only to be reborn in 1961. His family is desperately poor, with barely a roof over their heads, and his younger siblings are only a few years old. His parents are honest, simple farmers. Using practical knowledge from modern life, he leads his family and the villagers step by step toward a life where they have enough to eat and drink.
