A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Going Undercover in the Seven Mysteries Sect

A fan work of A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality, the second installment in the ten-part Mortal series. I pose as a spy in the Seven Mysteries Sect and hunt down spies from Extreme Yin Island. Keep your heart free of women, and your cultivation will come naturally. Li Feiyu logs into Han Li's account, while Han Li logs into Li Feiyu's every day. When Li Feiyu woke up, he discovered he'd become a disposable undercover agent planted by Extreme Yin Island in the righteous minor sect known as the Seven Mysteries Sect. The original owner had just been slapped to death for being careless. Things were hellish from the start, and the trouble didn't end there. The Qingyuan Sect suspects him: Han Tuo, a junior brother from the Law Enforcement Hall, keeps an eye on him, ready to purge the sect at any moment. The demonic sect threatens him: they send messages every few days and set him impossible tasks. His only cheat is an unreliable Intelligence System that randomly refreshes one piece of intel each day. The contents are all down to luck. [Today's intel: You're an undercover agent.] What a waste of words! [Today's intel: The third floor of the Scripture Pavilion contains a lost ancient cultivation manual, the Longevity Art.] Now that's useful! [Today's intel: Han Tuo is in a bad mood today.] Run! To stay alive, Li Feiyu keeps his head down and never draws attention. He acts like an honest disciple in the immortal sect and a loyal spy in the demonic sect. With the System's help, he quietly makes a fortune. Years later... Li Feiyu: “Wait, this isn't how the story's supposed to go! I'm a demonic sect spy, so how did I become a big shot in the immortal sect?” True Lord, if I keep being an undercover agent, I'll end up the sect leader... HH
