Mysterious Revival: From the Start, I Transmigrate Into the Ghost-Blooded Yan Li

The Age of the Five Turbidities descends. The rules of Hell collapse, and fierce ghosts break free of their restraints and sweep across the human world. It is a desperate world where “ghosts cannot be killed, only controlled or sealed.” Lin Yu, an ordinary modern man, transmigrates by accident and finds himself as “Ghost Blood Yan Li,” a ghost controller doomed to a tragic fate in the original novel of Mysterious Resurgence.

He inherits the restless power of ghost blood within Yan Li. Dark red veins spread across his arm day and night, and every use of his “Crimson Barrier” and “Ghostly Corruption” abilities speeds up the countdown to the ghost’s resurgence. Worse, he is saddled with the fate laid out in the original: his family will die horribly after being caught up in supernatural incidents, and he will lose control and become a blood-pool ghost.

Familiar with the plot, Lin Yu knows the dangers of factional infighting at headquarters, the cult’s designs on him, and deadly turning points like the “Red Leaf Community Time Trap,” the “Mirror Ghost’s Killing Rule,” and the “Blood Pool Incident.” To change his fate, he pretends to be the taciturn Yan Li from the original and avoids being used by Zhao Kaiming at headquarters. At the same time, he prepares in advance, cutting off the chain of events that would let a “bloodstained doll” draw supernatural forces to his younger sister and keeping his family safe. When he meets Yang Jian, the original protagonist, he uses his foreknowledge to fight alongside him against the ghosts, carefully planning each step from the factory ghost’s assault to the search for the source of ghost blood in an abandoned hospital.

Anchored by the humanity of his modern soul, he struggles between the corruption of ghost blood and the ghost’s consciousness. He must break the plot’s inevitability that “Yan Li must die,” and carve out a path to survival in this hell on earth, for himself, for his family, and even for this despairing world.
