This is a novel with a certain depth that requires careful savoring and deep thinking. However, there are not many readers who are willing to think deeply these days. In today's world of entertainment to death, there are social reasons why there are not many readers of this novel.

It is consistent with history to a certain extent. Although not, the divisions in the late Ming Dynasty are clearly written and a bit general. The activities between traitorous ministers lack narrative. For example, the Shanxi Merchant incident briefly describes the black hands of the people behind the scenes and the compromises of all parties to show the background of the last dynasty. I went through three stages of reading this book. The first time I saw the title of the book happened to be a subject that I was interested in, so I decided to listen to it. I am also moved by the loyal generals who serve the country and the people in the book, and I am angry at the corrupt and mediocre officials who pursue their own selfish interests without caring about the lives of the people! I hope to keep updating and support the author!

The writing is quite good, but the early part is a bit depressing and I can't read it. Some of the views are the same as mine. If the previous chapters can be changed, more people should read it. Most people probably can't stand it after reading the first few chapters. The writing is too suffocating, so the score should not be too high, about 8. I personally feel that the author should read the book Zhu Houzhao, the Ming Dynasty Tyrant, and learn from it. Otherwise, too few people will read it.

I have read many books, and this book can be ranked at least in the second tier, because there are indeed some descriptions that I think are a bit inappropriate. But it's already very interesting to watch. The politics of walking a tightrope and the extreme operations of dancing on the tip of a knife are really exciting. Although the pace is a bit slow, it is not procrastinating and makes people have the patience to read on.

I finished reading the whole thing in one breath. The author wrote a really good book. This book is especially good because it was full of bad news at the beginning but it still managed to survive. I hope the second part can be about the Tang Dynasty.
