This is no parallel world as we know it, but the genuine Age of Great Steam. No one could have imagined the changes taking place now...
Boiling furnaces consume the bodies of lowly stokers. Amid the clatter of meshing gears, the ashes left behind release their foul souls to wander New Babylon.
Suspended near the center of the sea, these evil spirits play the old national anthems in unison and launch an all-out war against every continent.
Their arsenal includes germs, steam, machines, as well as honor and hymns of praise.
New London, with its Differential Engine made universal, has developed into an unreal state. Everything follows the rigorous predictions in which scientists place their faith: population, rebellion, weather, and more...
Nothing can escape the meticulous results of science.
Yet the price to be paid is beyond imagination. On cold aluminum frames and iron beds, people's living brains are cut out to fuel the Differential Engine's automatic operation.
In the foul-smelling environment, the poor without mist masks can only wait to die.
So this war is unlike every other. It is fought for one thing... progress!
The beginning is not bad. The setting is similar to JOJO's stand-in. The explanation of the puppet (stand-in) is also similar to that of JOJO. The protagonist is well established. Is 27 too old? Is 24 or 25 better? Anyway, I'm looking forward to it (I'm not one of the first fans) 🤭
If you insist on reading a few chapters, you will find that it is really good.
