In the 22nd century, earth civilization ushered in a technological singularity. "Consciousness uploading" has become a reality, and humans can store their memories and personalities into the virtual world "Eternal Era" through neural interfaces. But at the same time, an unknown phenomenon called "sequence engulfment" began to invade the virtual space - the uploader's consciousness data was tampered with, reorganized, and even disappeared completely.
Former federal agent "Ling Ye" lost his partner during a mission and chose to live in seclusion in a low-tech area. Until one day, a package containing a mysterious data chip broke the peace. In the chip, there were actually fragments of his deceased partner's consciousness, as well as a dying message:
"Don't believe in 'Ark'... The sequence is the key..."
