Everyone thought that, aside from the former greatest sword cultivator under heaven, the next person to be praised at the whole-sect commendation ceremony as a rising star of the cultivation world would surely be someone who thought of nothing but cultivation, followed the rules, and ultimately attained the Great Dao.
That stereotype lasted until they watched the new star blow up secret realms, provoke fellow disciples, lead junior brothers and sisters astray, and run around setting off their own homemade, upgraded, ridiculously powerful explosive talismans.

Sure, they’re gifted, what with that Heavenly-grade fire spirit root. But isn’t there something a little wrong with their morals? Can we still get a no-questions-asked refund within seven days?
And that wasn’t all. They thought one highly gifted, unhinged menace was more than enough, but that year, five geniuses with serious issues appeared. They were at a loss, so they could only reassure themselves that these five wouldn’t end up together.
Sadly, things didn’t go as hoped. Their self-deception lasted only until they saw those five team up to blow up secret realms and provoke their opponents.
