Summary of the first chapter of "Inkstone Stained in the Galaxy: A Discussion of Poetry with Chang Yoshimu"
In the late autumn of the seventh year of Xuanhe, under the ancient locust tree of Fantai Temple in Bianjing City, "I" (the first protagonist), who had studied Li He and Du Mu's poems but failed to understand them, unexpectedly encountered a vision and met Li He and Du Mu (both the second protagonists) across time and space. The two of them took "Listening to the Flute on an Autumn Night" as their theme and taught "I" how to refine characters and integrate scenes into poems. Later, Li Qingzhao also came and jointly guided "I" to revise the poems. When leaving, Li He and Du Mu invited "me" to discuss poetry again by the Qujiang Pond in Chang'an. "I" also realized that to learn poetry, one needs to enter the scene with one's heart and integrate into oneself.
