In a world where beast tamers reign supreme, talent determines your fate.
On Awakening Day, Lin Jiuchen is declared to have “a damaged soul, with no hope of ever becoming a beast tamer.” He falls from being the pride of his family into the gutter, enduring scorn and mockery.
But no one knows that, deep within his soul sea, an ancient scroll titled the Classic of Mountains and Seas is quietly unfurling. Countless spirits lie dormant within, awaiting his call!
While people of this age are still congratulating themselves on contracting a third-grade Flame-Tailed Hound, Lin Jiuchen merely taps a finger and summons...
The Zheng, devourer of tigers and leopards, whose roar shakes the mountains and forests!
The Qiongqi, master of wind and thunder, whose ferocity reigns supreme!
And even the Zhulong, whose eyes open to bring day and close to bring night, coiling in the boundless void behind him!
“Can’t detect my contracted beasts?” Lin Jiuchen stands above the masses, a tide of prehistoric beastly shadows surging behind him.
“That’s because you mortals aren’t worthy of seeing the countless spirits of my Classic of Mountains and Seas!”
