Fishing and Hunting in Northeast China: From Street Loafer to King of the Mountains and Seas

[Rebirth + period drama + comeback + Northeast folk customs + mountain hunting and fishing]

Meng Lihuan is a notorious loafer in Kaoshantun. He wasted half his life, lost his wife and home, and eventually died at sea.

When he opens his eyes again, he has returned to the fateful morning of July 26, 1983, when his beloved wife was killed on the mountain by a wild boar's tusks!

Eyes bloodshot, he grabs a woodcutter's knife and races up the mountain, determined to stop his wife, Han Jingjing, from going out to pick mushrooms, even if his whole family misunderstands him!

He'll repay a hundredfold for everything he owed in his past life!

Facing parents who still see him as worthless and a wife who has completely lost faith in him, Meng Lihuan grits his teeth.

Go out to sea? I'll do it! Drawing on hazy memories from his previous life, he guides his father to haul in a netful of rare yellow croaker, filling the boat and shocking the whole village!

Go hunting? I'm on it! He sharpens his hunting knife and enters the perilous Wild Boar Ridge, vowing to eliminate the threats and fight for a prosperous future!

From a good-for-nothing everyone despises to the head of a family who can shoulder its burdens, Meng Lihuan's road to redemption begins in the mountains and seas around him.

This is a story of a prodigal son turning his life around, making up for past regrets, and leading his family toward happiness. It's steeped in the flavor of Northeast fishing villages, with thrilling mountain hunts and an epic tale of struggle!
