When the Su Group goes bankrupt, Su Wan seeks help from Gu Yanchen, who has been secretly in love with him for many years. However, because Lin Xi was "injured in a car accident" in Gu Yanchen's White Moonlight (actually directed and acted by himself), Gu Yanchen identifies him as the perpetrator. He threatens to inject capital into the Su Group, forcing Su Wan to stay with him as Lin Xi's "substitute" and asking her to imitate everything Lin Xi does. Su Wan tearfully compromises for the family and begins a humiliating life of love in prison.
