When Peach Blossoms Fall

[Two Male Leads + Three Lives and Three Worlds + Pure Love on Both Sides + Lots of Deaths + They Both Die Every Time, or They Can't Be Reincarnated]

Zhuohua (the shou) x Gu Changming (the gong)

A piece of spiritual jade shattered in two. One half became an accessory worn by Gu Changming, the eldest disciple of the Tianshan Sect, while the other helped a peach blossom spirit in the forest take human form.

When demons ran rampant in the human world, Gu Changming descended the mountain on his master's orders to hunt them. Along the way, he happened to save a demon.

The peach blossom spirit was beautiful. The moment he saw Gu Changming, he affectionately embraced him and called him, "Immortal."

The peach blossom spirit had no name, so Gu Changming gave him one: Zhuohua.

Later, Zhuohua died by his sword, leaving behind only that half-piece of spiritual jade.

The current emperor was incompetent and unjust. Listening to the slander of his state preceptor, he sent the only son of the Gu family to the border.

After guarding the frontier for years, Gu Changming took shelter from a heavy rain one day at a temple.

He accidentally pushed open a meditation room and saw a white-robed gentleman inside, writing with a brush.

His heart stirred, and he asked, "Have we met before?"

The man smiled and replied, "Do you say that to everyone?"

In the third year of the Republic of China, Zhuohua rescued a homeless child and named him Gu Changming.

One day, after the boy had grown up, he suddenly asked, jealous and impulsive, "Why did you give me that name? Who are you using me as a substitute for?"
