On a night of torrential rain, mechanic Lin Yan is pinned beneath a heavy jack, and blue-black scales suddenly appear on his right arm.
A mysterious broadcast announces that the ancient beast sealed by his grandfather is about to awaken.
He is framed for bloodshed across the city, hunted by special police, and branded the number-one fugitive.
By chance, he gains the power of symbiosis: he can trade pain for strength and transform into a beast to strike back.
His right arm can become a claw, his slit pupils can see demons, and his scales protect him. The longer he fights, the stronger he gets.
While others flee for their lives, he heads straight toward danger, seeking out the places where evil spirits run wild.
From a lowly laborer to the hidden ruler who suppresses paranormal cases, he will break the cycle of reincarnation.
On the day a sixty-year destiny comes to an end, he will be the only one to walk out of the legend alive.
