Have you ever seen egg fried rice that can fight? Ning Can has. Not only has she seen it, she’s the one who cooked that gleaming golden bowl of fried rice that can do somersaults all by itself!
She wakes up in a transmigrated life in a spacefaring era where spirit beasts reign supreme. Everyone else awakens dazzling dragonkin or mechanical behemoths, but she binds herself to a gourmet System. She even awakens a cookbook. While her classmates bring ferocious beasts and ghosts to school, she has a fragrant bowl of egg fried rice floating behind her, a duck that makes Eight-Treasure Rice aroma waft through the air with every stomp, even a flying cup of peach wine oolong tea and a lion made of pastries.
“Your spirit beast can breathe fire? My mapo tofu can launch interstellar chili meteorites!”
“Your spirit beast can turn invisible? My winter melon soup can open a spatial portal!”
Thanks to the wildly unscientific rule that cooking makes her stronger, Ning Can wields a spatula in one hand and a soy sauce bottle in the other, taking her cooking from the school cafeteria all the way to the interstellar battlefield.
Then one day, her Buddha Jumps Over the Wall spirit beast lifts its lid...
Billions of stars erupt into a frenzy, and thirty-six cosmic phantasmal beasts poke their heads out together at the smell:
“Why didn’t you call us when the food was ready?!”
[A friendly reminder: Keep snacks on hand while reading, or your stomach might join the protagonist’s spirit beasts in staging a rumbling rebellion!]
The idea is great, but is the writing crooked at the end? The world of beast control is very dangerous, okay? I obviously noticed something was wrong with An Xi, but I actually took her home. I don't understand. And in the world of beast mastering, the protagonist is a beast master. Beast masters and food spirits are soul contracts that depend on each other. Even if you have to rely on An Xi to buy some foreshadowing, you can't just listen to her. She said that you can't get too close to the beast, you can't feed, you can't get too close to the beast, and the protagonist actually agreed. It's so ridiculous. Finally, the beasts in this article are food spirits, and they are also partners. They are not just used to show how superb the protagonist's cooking skills are and how exciting the battles are. They have their own joys and sorrows. They will be sad when they see the protagonist alienating them for An Xi, even if it is just a verbal response, okay?
The idea is very good and creative. It would be better if the writing style were better.
