Female lead (Yun Shuyue): A good-for-nothing imperial daughter of the Jade Palace in the Celestial Realm, who is actually the possessor of a sealed “Chaos Spirit Root.” She seems weak and easy to bully, but is steadfast in spirit and skilled in talisman formations that use gentleness to overcome strength.
Appearance: Cool and pure as jade, with a hidden spiritual seal between her brows. As it gradually unlocks, her brilliance begins to shine through. She seeks revenge for her mother, breaks the seal on her spirit root, and reshapes the order of the Celestial Realm.
Male lead (Yan Linyuan): The fallen ruler of the Netherworld, disguised as a wandering cultivator. He bears a “Soul-Devouring Curse” and must rely on the female lead’s pure spiritual power to ease his pain. He commands shadows and the dead, but each use comes at the cost of his lifespan. At first, he and the female lead use each other; later, they become each other’s salvation.
