Splendid Painted Shadows: A Path of Power and Intrigue

A sweeping epic blending Eastern fantasy and political intrigue. With the art of painting at its heart, it unfolds a grand canvas of a hidden painting sect, the sect's long-held wish, a mysterious painting manual, and courtly power struggles.

The story begins with the secluded Muyin Painting Sect in the Muyun Mountains, where disciples cultivate through painting. A thousand-year-old painting demon is sealed in the sect's forbidden grounds, while the guardian spirit beasts, the Ink Qilin and the Ink-Wash Fish, add to the mystery. Meanwhile, a century-old feud involving the Xuanji Pavilion seethes beneath the surface. The young pavilion master slips into Jiangyang City by night and uses mechanical sparrows to spy on the Mu family. A struggle over an ancient painting manual quietly begins...
