In the mysterious, fantastical Beast World, Feng Xi arrives bearing the Flame of Rebirth and the power of the Moon Goddess. She sets out to discover her origins, but turmoil at the Dark Star Gate and the rampage of the Shadow Clan draw her into a mission to protect the Beast World.
Alongside eight beast-clan companions, including Mo of the Nightwalkers, Feng Qi of the Phoenix Clan, and Lin Xuan of the Qilin Clan, she faces one challenge after another. From the star-chart mystery at Crescent Spring to the water-shadow crisis in the Eastern Sea Abyss, and then to the Northern Icefield, where they battle Ying Yue for a crystal, they unravel the Dark Star Gate's array nodes and gather the elemental crystals. Along the way, the Beast World's Core is shattered, threatening the survival of every clan. The stirrings of a new lineage bring further uncertainty, while the threat of the Shadow Ancestor looms over them all.
At last, in the final battle at the Meteorite Crater, Feng Xi combines the power of all eight clans to awaken the Beast World's Star Core, seal the Dark Star Gate, and banish the shadows. After the battle, the Beast World begins a new era of peace under the joint rule of the eight clans. Feng Xi and her companions protect their homeland, passing prosperity and peace down through the generations. Together, they write a heartwarming epic of divine beasts protecting the world and bloodlines uniting, showing how unity and faith forge an eternal guardianship.
