After I Got Pregnant, I Heard My Baby's Thoughts

After I got pregnant, I started hearing the voice of the baby inside me.

I was happily preparing to share the good news with my parents when the baby in my belly suddenly cried out for help.

“Mom, don’t! Grandma and Grandpa favor boys. Once they find out I’m a girl, they’ll definitely give you abortion pills. Boohoo, I really want to live!”

Unsure whether to believe it, I turned off my phone, afraid the news of my pregnancy might get out.

But that very night, a fire broke out at home. I missed the 99 calls from my parents begging for help, leaving them helpless to die in the flames.

Overwhelmed with grief, I relied on my husband to help me through the darkest days of my life.

Just as I was preparing to pick myself back up, I heard the baby’s voice again.

“Poor Mom. Dad is sneaking around with his little mistress at the office. He’s only nice to you because he feels guilty.”

I panicked and rushed to my husband’s office to catch them in the act without thinking it through.

I never imagined I’d ruin a contract worth hundreds of millions. My husband was utterly disappointed in me and shoved a divorce agreement at me, demanding I sign it.

I desperately tried to make him stay, but then I heard the baby’s voice once more.

“Dad hates women who won’t let go. If you walk away now, he’ll come crying to you to come back before long. Don’t be foolish, Mom. Leaving with nothing is the best choice!”

In the end, I chose to listen to my own child.

But after I became destitute and spent nights on the street, my husband, Gu Qi’an, swiftly married a girl who looked seven parts like me. Every word he said at the wedding blamed me for leaving him so heartlessly.

Crying, I tried to go back to Gu Qi’an, but a speeding truck ran a red light and crushed me to a pulp. I died with my eyes open.
