The protagonist, Li Ang, transmigrates into the dark universe of Warhammer 40K and takes over the body of a dying Imperial trooper named Kane. Just as all hope seems lost, he activates the Red Alert System and obtains an MCV, a vehicle that can deploy into a base.
However, the System's initial units, such as Conscripts, GIs, and Grizzly tanks, are no match for Space Marines, alien Tyranids, or Chaos Daemons. To survive and grow stronger, Kane must make use of the Red Alert System's unique advantages:
1. Asymmetric warfare: Use Red Alert's rapid deployment, low-cost mass production, and unorthodox tactics, such as capturing structures with Engineers and infiltrating with spies, to fight enemies with overwhelming technological superiority.
2. Core advantage, Tiberium crystals: The crystal seeds provided by the System can absorb warp energy as they grow. Their radiation can purify large areas and hinder Chaos corruption, turning desperate wastelands into “purified zones” and resource-producing regions. This “pure land” will be the foundation on which he establishes himself in the dark universe.
3. Capture and copy: The key highlight. Kane cannot develop 40K technology on his own, but he can use a mind-control device to capture enemy units, from Ork Boyz to starships, and send them to a cloning facility for mass production. By continuously “copying” and absorbing the technologies of hostile factions, he can gradually build up his army, from cloning Orks and Tyranids to analyzing Imperial tanks and Space Marine power armor, ultimately creating a mighty force that combines Red Alert's advanced black technology with 40K's military power.
4. The strategic deterrence of superweapons: Unlimited nuclear missiles, Lightning Storms, Iron Curtains, and Chronosphere teleportation.
It fits my impression of Red Alert very well.
