After My First Love Returned to China, I Took Thirty Million and Ran

Lu Shuo, the golden boy of Beijing's elite, had a fight and breakup with his first love and threatened to kill himself.

I showed up in front of him with a face that looked like hers, becoming the canary he kept.

He loved and spoiled me, wishing he could give me every good thing in the world.

That is, until his first love returned from abroad. With red-rimmed eyes, I begged him:

“Shuo, can you please stay?”

He tossed down a stack of cash, gave a faint laugh, and pushed my hand away.

“Be good. This was just for fun.”

While his back was turned, I stuffed the money into my pocket.

Then I opened my computer and wrote my discharge report.

Then I packed up and prepared to run, taking the thirty million his mother had given me.
