True transcendence is not the power to control the world. It is the ability to carry history's gifts and scars through an ordinary life, even one marked by hardship; to shoulder the responsibility and meaning of protecting others; and, with a steadfast will, deep love, and wise resolve, to become a tiny lamp in the mortal world, illuminating darkness, sharing warmth, and carrying civilization forward. This faint light, born of our humanity, may not rival the sun or moon, yet it can leave an eternal mark on the river of time and become an undying "dustlight" in humanity's shared memory.
