In Mingde Middle School, which has a rigorous academic style, Gu Yu and Qiao Yuanzhu are two parallel lines that will never intersect.
Gu Yu is recognized as the top student in Bingshan, ranking first in his grade all year round. He has a cold personality and is self-disciplined to the point of being harsh. He is an impeccable and perfect template in the eyes of his teacher. He is like an isolated island that no one can approach, running calmly on an established track.
Qiao Yuanzhu is a lively and cheerful student with outstanding artistic talents. He has a warm smile and is very popular, but in Mingde, where top students gather, he is a "troublesome element" that troubles teachers, like a free and undisciplined bamboo that longs for sunshine but can't find its direction.
An unexpected class division made two very different people become roommates. At first, they were incompatible with each other and disliked each other - Gu Yu complained that Qiao Yuanzhu was noisy and undisciplined, while Qiao Yuanzhu complained that Gu Yu was unreasonable.
However, in countless competing classroom routines and forced cooperation in campus activities, Qiao Yuanzhu used his clumsy but sincere warmth to melt Gu Yu's frozen shell bit by bit, allowing him to see the colorful colors of the world outside the rules; and Gu Yu also inadvertently became Qiao Yuanzhu's stable fulcrum when he swayed, guarding that precious brilliance and innocence in his own unique way.
