A transformative work based on the original story. Characterization may stray somewhat from the source material, so please don't read if that bothers you!
It felt as if an invisible hand had clenched around his heart. The sudden, tightening pain made everything before Long Yu's eyes warp and darken. The unfinished report on his computer screen dissolved into blurry spots of light, and the steady clatter of his keyboard quickly faded into the distance.
It was his third all-nighter in a row. At twenty-seven, an utterly ordinary office drone on Earth, he finally fell on the battlefield known as “performance targets.”
As his consciousness sank into darkness, his last thought was: Damn it, in my next life, I'm definitely not working in IT.
He had no idea how long had passed when a strange sensation of weightlessness woke him.
Touch returned first. Beneath him was no longer the cold, hard surface of an office desk, but something… slightly springy and soft, with a faint scent of grass and trees. Then came hearing: the rustling of leaves in a breeze, and the distant, clear chirps of birds unlike any he had ever heard.
The plot cannot be described as compact, it can be said to be a speed pass Moe Academy. The protagonist is a dispensable middleman just like his abilities, which is a bit boring, but the setting is actually quite good. It seems to be very busy, but some minor plot details have been changed. The main plot is no different from the original drama (Ulala did not die but became a "vegetative").
It's so rare to see an adaptation of a Moe Gakuen novel that I can't even feel embarrassed about watching! 👍
