In this world of tangled chaos, you will find countless “what ifs”: If the Reunion Movement's ideals were finally realized, would the Infected's fate at last see the light of dawn? If Siracusa broke free of the shackles imposed by the families, who would bear the cost of freedom? If the old grudges buried in Yan were reignited, would the land once more sink into conflict?
Here, there are fierce charges amid flashing blades, as well as heartwarming moments of people supporting one another in desperate straits. There are bold visions of the future, and gentle questions about human nature. Behind every hypothesis lies a determined exploration of “possibility,” along with a little of my own wishful imagining of this vast world.
As a newcomer writing a book for the first time, I know there is still much room for improvement: perhaps the plot twists aren't natural enough, perhaps the characters are still a little rough around the edges, or perhaps the worldbuilding could be more nuanced. But “perseverance” and “improvement” are principles I always hold close. Every time I weigh my words, revise the logic, or accept a suggestion, I move a little closer to a better story and a better version of myself.
Mistakes are never stumbling blocks, but stepping stones to growth. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to enter the world I have woven, walk with Rui through the sands of Chisha, brave the forbidden lands of Burning Wind, and witness moments of courage, conviction, and choice.
Your reading is the greatest encouragement I could ask for. The road ahead is long, and the story is not over yet. I will keep moving forward with your support and polish this into an even more exciting tale.
Thank you once again. May we all keep moving forward on the path of pursuing what we love, and live in the light.
