Yae Miko: Today, I Must Win Over the Raiden Shogun

As the chief priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine, Yae Miko feels like she's worrying herself sick. The Electro Archon, Raiden Ei, has finally been coaxed out of the Plane of Euthymia by the Traveler after holing up for centuries. Wonderful news... or not!

Watching the once-majestic God of War get flustered over something as simple as buying a cup of dango milk, Yae Miko sighs. Her “shogun makeover plan” can't wait any longer. She lays out a chessboard with all of Inazuma as its playing field, guiding and pushing Ei to leave her self-imposed isolation and experience the scenery, the people, and the emotions that change in an instant.

But beyond the chessboard, undercurrents run deep. The power struggle between the commissions rages on, the Fatui from the winter nation lurk in the shadows, and even the remnants of the defeated gods slain centuries ago by the former Electro Archon, Makoto, have become curses that quietly entwine themselves around Ei's “eternity.” Internal and external crises erupt all at once.

Everyone believes that, without the protection of her “puppet,” the Raiden Shogun is at her most vulnerable.

But they're all wrong.

When Yae Miko sets a trap and lures her enemies into it, they'll see Raiden Ei sever the shackles of her past with her own hands and cleave through every conspiracy with a single Musou no Hitotachi! When she gathers the battered fox into her arms, the cold violet eyes that meet hers burn with a fury and love powerful enough to consume heaven and earth.

“Touch her, and you make an enemy of my ‘eternity.’”
