Her Guitar, Her Sky

I was just playing a game and felt inspired, so I suddenly wanted to write a fanfic. I’ll write whenever I feel like it. No pressure, please. Pressure makes me blow up.

[Bocchi the Rock] [Socially Anxious Guitarist × Amnesiac Girl] [Two Heroines’ Healing Journey × Band Growth × Lighthearted Everyday Life] [Mild Bullying Warning]

On a rainy day, Hitori Gotoh (Bocchi-chan), who’s so socially anxious she’s practically growing mushrooms, finds a stunning girl collapsed by the roadside and takes her home.

When the girl wakes up, she remembers nothing. All she can do is stare at Hitori’s guitar and murmur, “...It looks like the color of the sky.”

Great. Not only does she have amnesia, she talks weird, too.

Bocchi-chan was hoping to secretly keep her, but then

Her little sister found out! Her parents found out, too!

Bocchi-chan (screaming inside): H-help! I’m just a useless shut-in who wants to play guitar in the closet!

But when the taunts start up again, the girl who’s always been silent finally moves.

She simply looks at those people, her gaze as cold as ice, and silences every last bit of malice in an instant.

Later, Bocchi’s band becomes an overnight sensation.

Someone asks, “Gotoh, how did you overcome your nerves and get so good at playing?”

Bocchi-chan sneaks a glance at the audience. The girl, who always finds her and says the most piercing things with the calmest expression, gives her a small nod.

Tsukiyo (serious expression): “Hitori’s guitar reminds me of a shattered sky, and the one light left in it.”

Bocchi-chan (face turning bright red): “...Ugh... D-don’t say that!” (But she quietly grips her guitar tighter.)
