With no other choice, Lin Ruan and her grandfather relied on each other. Her grandfather was once a Water-type Pokémon breeder. Their home holds his trophies and photographs. Influenced by her grandfather, Lin Ruan receives Squirtle as a gift for her 16th birthday and sets off on her adventure.
