Modern-day Lin Chen accidentally transmigrates into the world of Detective Conan. To survive and find a way back to reality, he establishes the Bai Group and an elite action squad called Team Jie. He gradually meets allies such as Conan, Ai Haibara, Kaito Kid, and Heiji Hattori, and gets caught up in an international conspiracy revolving around the “spacetime crystal.”
At first, Lin Chen and his companions take on a mysterious organization led by “Zi,” which seeks to use the “spacetime crystal” to control human consciousness. After Lin Chen refuses the Power Organization’s offer of immortality research, it turns to economic attacks against the Bai Group and the Suzuki Group, even deploying military forces and issuing an international arrest warrant, forcing Lin Chen and his companions to flee.
Lin Chen’s team is forced to escape to an uninhabited island in the Pacific. With help from Erik, a Norwegian intelligence chief who later becomes a mole, and “Polaris,” a defector from the Power Organization who actually controls Denmark, Iceland, and other countries, they gradually establish a foothold. First, they rescue Polaris’s imprisoned family, then persuade Erik to infiltrate the Power Organization and pass along intelligence. They later engage tens of thousands of the organization’s troops on the Antarctic ice sheet. Though they fail to obtain the crucial “spacetime core” directly, they destroy the other side’s
