[Dark Realism | Slow Burn | Two Male Leads | Flesh-and-Blood Mutation]
The tiles in the girls’ bathroom were ice-cold. Chen Wei was pinned against the wall, her school uniform torn as flashes repeatedly illuminated her desperate face. “A broke loser like you thinks you belong at No. 3 High?” The hooligans’ laughter echoed through the empty bathroom.
Chen Yuan returned to the junkyard and gripped a crowbar, rusted from end to end. The first blow crushed the skull of the hooligan holding the phone. The second pierced the throat of the man pinning down his sister. Only when blood sprayed everywhere did he realize that the door to another world would have to be opened with a blood sacrifice.
He and his buddy Liu Shibo ventured into the other world, hoping to get enough money to start over before the police came knocking. There was no gold beyond the door, only rotting ruins and tentacled monsters that hunted living things. More terrifying still was the reality of this world: its superpowered people had long since become beasts, surviving by preying on their own kind.
In a brutal battle, Liu Shibo took a fatal blow meant for Chen Yuan, and his body was contaminated by the monster’s flesh and blood. He didn’t die, but became a half-man, half-beast creature. His claws could rip through steel plates, yet he still struggled to give Chen Yuan a smile more ghastly than a cry.
Now they’ve been assigned to a special operations unit codenamed “White Dove.” Suppressants can only delay their mutation, and no amount of equipment can hide the truth: every time they use their abilities, they come one step closer to becoming real monsters.
This door was never a way out. It’s a tomb Chen Yuan opened with his own hands. Either it will bury all his enemies, or it will consume the last traces of his humanity.
It looks a bit boring from the front, but it starts to look better from the back.
At first glance, it looks like it was written by a newbie. The front part is a bit boring, but the later part is okay. The writing is all the same old routines from the past, and it's okay to watch and play. Review completed 🙂 I've seen the latest chapter so far, and I feel it's okay. The plot is getting more and more exciting. The only drawback is that the two brothers feel a bit gay 🤦
Not bad, I've been keeping up with updates these days. Now the protagonist group seems to have left the novice village, waiting for the next BOSS to appear.
