1. Core background
When Chen Meng was young, her parents, who were top AI core technology developers, refused to hand over their technology to the ambitious technology organization "Obsidian", so they encrypted the core data and implanted it into the inside of Chen Meng's arm (forming a light-colored birthmark-like chip).
2. Main story line
Fifteen years later, Chen Meng grew up to be an AI researcher. In order to continue his parents' unfinished research on "humanized AI",
Chen Meng brought him into human society as a "distant cousin", renting a house and experiencing daily life together. Yan Cong mechanically imitates human behavior (such as learning to cook, watching movies), and gradually becomes able to sense Chen Meng's emotions.
Chen Meng discovered that in order for Yan to have more realistic emotional feedback and physiological simulation, a rare "stardust crystal" (which only exists in abandoned polar scientific research stations or deep-sea mineral veins, and is a key material mentioned in her parents' research notes) is needed. This crystal happens to resonate with the energy of the chip in her arm, and may contain more clues left by her parents.
The two embarked on a two-pronged adventure: During the process, the chip in Chen Meng's arm became abnormally hot, awakening some fragmented memories of his parents' murder.
