1984: From Tsz Wan Shan to Hong Kong’s Underworld King

Back in 1984, on Hong Kong Island, where fortunes and power players were everywhere.

Su Ziwen awakens in Tsz Wan Shan, armed with a “Skill Upgrade” System and a master-level command of Chinese martial arts from the start.

He makes his name with his fists and breaks the old order. He builds a fearsome reputation in the Kowloon Walled City, among its motley crowd, and navigates with ease between the police and ICAC in a world where black and white are intertwined.

He outmaneuvers his rivals and ushers in a new era. He starts a security company, stakes a claim in the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, and rides out the 1987 stock market crash, joining forces with Chinese tycoons like Mr. Huo to take on greedy British conglomerates.

This is the story of a public-housing estate kid who rises to become a powerful underworld figure.

More than that, it is the legend of a man who uses his fists and his wits to take firm control of a city battered by storm after storm.

When he stands atop Victoria Peak, looking down at the dazzling lights of Victoria Harbour, all of Hong Kong Island knows:

Mr. Su’s fists can shatter the underworld, and build an empire!
