Welcome to "Guyuan", a post-apocalyptic city dominated by absurd gods and twisted rules.
Here, ascending to the gods is the only class jump: either genetically ascending and becoming a monster, or mechanical fusion becoming a weapon, or sacrificing your most precious things to the deceitful old gods - such as half of your taste, or the memory of your first love.
Gao Jun, a credit card holder with a gold mark hidden on his temple, holds the "Book of Ming Gui" left by his grandmother and specializes in "divine fraud". His business range includes exchanging expired cans for oracles, selling anti-harassment earplugs to street readers, and providing (watered-down) apocalyptic survival guides to avid cultists.
Until a two-way fraud against the "God of Blind Fool" got out of hand, Gao Jun was forced to owe a huge debt to God: to sacrifice an absolutely honest man within ten days.
Target: Chu Yue, a librarian who is bound by a contract with the "God of Knowledge" and cannot lie. She speaks as fast as bullets and spits poison as arsenic.
Pursuing soldiers: The Monitor troops firmly believe that human beings should be like leeks. How can they tolerate theft of divine power?
So, Gao Jun dragged his honest teammate Lin Shou, who had incredible strength, into the recruitment scene:
"It's not about stealing people, it's about applying for jobs!"
A chaotic interview that broke out in the temple of knowledge was just the beginning. When the thirsty forbidden book was released, and when the torrent of iron and steel from the inspectors rolled over, Gao Jun discovered that the "Book of Ming Deception" recorded far more than just the weaknesses of the gods... It also related to the truth about the coming apocalypse, and the mysterious origin of his own bloodline.
"Nine ways to ascend to the gods? Sorry, I choose the tenth one - the way to gather the wool of the gods."
