Leng Tingxiao is a ruthless, obsessive tycoon whose heart belongs only to his late first love, Su Wanqing. To indulge his fixation, he threatens an orphaned young woman, Lin Wei, with the life of her gravely ill younger brother, forcing her to sign a contract to become his substitute, a shadow for him to control as he pleases.
Forced to live as someone else, Lin Wei endures his mercurial moods and endless cruelty. Just as her heart turns to ash, his supposedly “late” first love makes a stunning return. The truth tears everything apart, and one frame-up follows another. To protect an illusion, Leng Tingxiao pushes Lin Wei into the abyss with his own hands, even cruelly taking away their child.
Only when the flames burn away the lies does Leng Tingxiao realize what a treasure he has lost. But the moment he chose his first love and left Lin Wei to die in the fire, her heart was already dead. There is no undoing what is done. Watch as the ruthless CEO embarks on a heart-wrenching path of regret in this devastating love affair.
