Oh Divine One, You're Breaking the Rules Again!

I'm Cangyao, an old immortal with eight hundred violation reports filed across the Three Realms. Can't help it: the Heavenly Laws are too rigid. Once, I changed the rain schedule without permission to save a city of mortals. Another time, I dismantled a warding stone from the Southern Heavenly Gate to use as a brick to suppress the evil spirits in the Nether Abyss.

This time, things got even more outrageous. To stop the Demon Lord from destroying the Well of Mortal Reincarnation, I plugged its opening with half my divine essence. The Jade Emperor was so furious his beard shook like a sieve. “Cangyao! You know the law and still break it!” I grinned. “Rules are dead, but immortals are alive!”

Qingming, the Star Lord in charge of fate next door, coldly entered another report in my file. “Violation number three thousand seven hundred.” But I caught him secretly adding a protective spell for me. Honestly, these old friends of mine may scold me for being reckless, but which one of them hasn't helped clean up my mess behind the scenes? Keeping the Three Realms afloat takes more than following the rules. Someone has to dare to break them.
