Lin Feng, once the celebrated CEO of a tech company, falls into tens of millions in debt after a funding deal collapses. Forced to sell his house and car, he watches his wife leave with their child and ends up living in a tiny subdivided room in an urban village. He works three jobs a day to pay off his debts, then breaks his leg while making deliveries in the early hours and can barely survive on instant noodles. Just as he reaches the depths of despair, he discovers that the elderly women in the urban village are all secret landladies. By helping them develop a simple rental-management system, he gradually gets back on his feet and launches a rental services company dedicated to serving elderly landlords.
