#Recommending the short story “Autumn Comes as the Tea Fragrance Fades and the Jade Mat Grows Cold”# Optional CP, a touch of “everyone loves the heroine”
Beside the Pool of Fire, waves of flame churn across its depths. Warm golden firelight, wrapped in scorching gusts, makes the pool look like a sea of molten gold.
The woman in the center of the pool lifts her chin slightly. Her beauty is peerless, her pair of glassy eyes clear as frost-coated crystals, flecked with light that seems to hold half a galaxy as it shifts. A vermilion mark adorns her brow, a breathtaking contrast against her snow-white skin.
Sheer snow-white gauze swirls around her like flowing clouds, barely covering the full curves from her shoulders to her waist. Beneath the thin fabric, her skin glows like warm jade.
When her waist bends gently, her creamy-white skin forms a delicate curve before seamlessly joining the silvery-white serpent tails on either side. Their scales gleam with a cold light, mysterious patterns coiling over their surfaces as dark golden radiance seems to flow beneath them. The tips of her tails sweep across the bottom of the pool, scattering tiny sparks.
Her waterfall of white hair spills over her shoulders, its ends touched by star-like sparks that tremble softly with each breath.
The sparks seem almost sentient, circling her hair, shoulders, and serpent tails. Sometimes they brush her snowy skin, sometimes they hover beside the vermilion mark on her brow. Like creatures enamored with a treasure, they never leave so much as a scorch mark. Instead, they lend her a sacred yet bewitching allure amid the blazing light.
Suddenly, the woman looks straight at the camera, her gorgeous, crystalline eyes curving into a faint smile. “Won't you come in?”
